KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Gas prices are climbing in Tennessee, with regular gas up about 12 cents per gallon in the past week.
According to AAA, the average price for regular gas in Tennessee is about $3.99 per gallon, compared with about $3.83 a week ago. A year ago, drivers were paying about $1.15 less per gallon, as the average price for regular gas was $2.78 per gallon. The current price is a 41% increase.
Jefferson City residents face 16% hike in water, sewage costs
Meanwhile, diesel has jumped about 34 cents per gallon in the past week. The current average for diesel is about $5.99 per gallon, compared with $5.65 a week ago.
