Clinton Highway crash concerns prompt increased police presence

ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – Residents near a stretch of Clinton Highway say the road has become increasingly dangerous.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is responding with increased patrol following a fatal crash and at least eight other collisions in the area.

James Pruitt Jr., 21, died at Old State Circle, a location on Clinton Highway that area residents say has seen repeated crashes. Claude Roberts, who frequents JB’s Corner Market near Old State Circle, said he regularly witnesses accidents in the area…
