Robertsville Baptist Church will mark 80 years of ministry in Oak Ridge on Sunday, May 17.
Founded on May 26, 1946, the congregation began humbly with worship services in the old Robertsville School. There, a small group of believers gathered to pray, sing hymns, and lay the foundation for what would become a cornerstone of faith in the community.
In 1949, the church purchased five acres adjacent to the school. Groundbreaking for a permanent building followed in 1954 on the hill that still serves as its home today…
