According to the general sessions docket, Munro stole items at self-checkout registers 26 times. Court documents said that video showed him failing to scan items before putting them into shopping bags.
The document also said that he placed a lower-priced item over a higher-value one then scanned only the lower one while concealing the more expensive item. In other incidents, according to documents, Munro would scan one item then put several items of the same type into the bag without scanning each one. He would then scan lower-priced items in a way that made the number of items shown on the receipt look consistent with the number of items in the bags.
