Triple the value in warranty deeds over last week

Things were a touch slower in the Register’s office last week. We recorded a total of 1,695 new documents pertaining to real property. On the financing side of real estate, 354 trust deeds were recorded worth a cumulative $120.2 million. This is roughly 40 less transactions and $30 million in value. A total of 13 mortgages were recorded with a value over $1 million. First Horizon Bank topped the high-value loans at $4.78 million. They had a second mortgage on the list at $1.28 million. Home Federal Bank of Tennessee was on that list three times with loans of $2.00, $2.17, and $2.50 million. The other large loans are outlined below:

We recorded 247 warranty deeds, reflecting transfer of ownership, with an aggregate total of $390.82 million. This is more than triple the value of sales recorded the week prior over 14 less transactions. Sixteen were priced at over $1 million, but only two of them were commercial transactions.

The scrap yard behind TitleMax Title Loans in Halls changed hands. Right Way Recycling LLC purchased that property from Crippen Gap LLC for $1.10 million. They advertise to buy scrap metal and junk cars.

The second large transfer was out west. The warehouse at 5300 S. Middlebrook Pike sold for $1.175 million. MC2 Management Inc. bought the property from a private party. The year-to-date comparison chart has been updated through May 8, 2026:
