In one of the largest law enforcement corruption crackdowns by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in state history, at least 11 people connected to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office have been indicted earlier this month.
Current and former department leaders were caught in the investigation. The accusations of corruption date back to 2010-18 and include improper use of taxpayer dollars and resources as well as staff time used for personal projects.
