KNOXVILLE, Tenn — The Knoxville Family Justice Center opened on May 19, 2006. Twenty years later, leaders said things have changed, one of the biggest adjustments is working with a similar organization, Bridge to Safety.
Jo Terry was one person at the forefront of the center’s creation.
“We were created to be the one place, the one stop shop where someone who’s suffering from interpersonal violence can go and get the help that they need, whatever it is. It doesn’t have to involve law enforcement, but it does involve advocacy, safety planning, and whatever resources the person needs to be safe,” she said…
