New Iberia quartet arrested in alleged $4 million insurance fraud scheme

NEW IBERIA, La. (NEWS 15) — Four people were arrested following an investigation into an alleged multi-million dollar automobile insurance fraud scheme in Iberia Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.

Rayshonte Oppenheimer, 29, Briannie Butler, 32, Passion Keal, 24, and Quandalyn Bernard, 33, all of New Iberia, are charged with automobile insurance fraud.

The Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud/Auto Theft Unit reported the suspects were booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. They have since been released on unknown bond amounts…
