Opelousas shooting leaves 2 hurt; Breaux Bridge pair faces multiple charges

OPELOUSAS, La. (NEWS 15) — Two people were seriously injured and two Breaux Bridge men were arrested after gunfire early Monday morning, according to the Opelousas Police Department.

Dwayne Carmouche, 36, of Breaux Bridge, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, obstruction of justice, and sexual battery.

Nelson Leday Jr., 44, also of Breaux Bridge, is charged with principal to attempted second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, simple battery, and sexual battery…
