Lafayette standoff ends with teen suspect in custody

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A 17-year-old wanted in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping in Lake Charles is facing additional drug and firearm charges after surrendering to law enforcement following a standoff in Lafayette Parish.

Authorities located and arrested Andrew Leblanc, 17, who was wanted on active felony warrants for armed robbery and second-degree kidnapping.

Authorities responded to a residence in the 300 block of Whitmore Road, where Leblanc refused to leave the home. Two elderly people and a juvenile were inside the residence during the standoff…
