LEBEAU, La. (NEWS 15) — A St. Landry Parish couple, whose home on LA 107 was destroyed by floodwaters from Tropical Storm Arthur, is working to rebuild, and a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help them recover.
Greg and Gwen Mayhall watched floodwaters overtake their home over the course of several days, beginning on Wednesday, June 17, when heavy rains from Tropical Storm Arthur moved into the area.
“More rain than I had ever seen in my 69 years, coming down at one time,” Gwen Mayhall said. “It was an absolute nightmare. You could not see outside of our window. It was just white, white water.”…
