Crowley police make arrest in 2020 first-degree rape cold case

CROWLEY, La. (NEWS 15) — An arrest has been made in a Crowley 2020 first-degree rape cold case after DNA evidence confirmed the victim’s account, according to Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert.

He noted that because the accused was a teen when the crime was committed, his name cannot be released at this time.

Chief Hebert reported the crime was reported in September 2020, when the victim alleged she was forced, under threat of death, to inject herself with heroin, causing her to lose consciousness, and when she regained consciousness, she was in a different location and believed she had been raped…
