The SWLA Genealogical and Historical Library invites the public to attend “Riding Toward a New Life: The Orphan Train in Louisiana,” an engaging and educational program, 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at 41 1 Pujo St.
Visitors will hear from members of the Louisiana Orphan Train Museum, who will share the history of the Orphan Train movement from 1873 to 1929 and its lasting impact on communities across Louisiana.
