Lafayette Habitat for Humanity executive director announces retirement

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Lafayette Habitat for Humanity has announced that Executive Director Melinda Taylor will retire in December.

Jason Huffman, Chair of the Board of Directors, said Taylor’s dedication has been “nothing short of exceptional.”

“For 26 years, she has led with compassion, integrity, vision, and a deep belief that everyone deserves a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home,” Huffman said. “Her legacy can be seen not only in the homes built, but in the families empowered, the volunteers inspired, and the community partnerships strengthened during her tenure.”…
