Tenants demand answers after controversial evictions at Bacmonila Gardens

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — Dozens of current and former Bacmonila Gardens residents have contacted News 10 with complaints about evictions, disputed rent balances and the conduct of the affordable-housing complex’s former manager.

News 10 interviewed at least seven residents, along with a former security officer who said he quit because he disagreed with how then-manager Topangelia Shaw directed guards to treat tenants.
