LAFAYETTE, La. (Acadiana News First) – Law enforcement agencies from across Louisiana gathered in Lafayette for a summit focused on gun crime, illegal firearm possession, and cooperation between agencies.
Joshua Jackson, special agent in charge of the ATF’s New Orleans Field Division, said violent crime has declined across Louisiana but there is still more work to do.
“Violent crime is way down, especially in our state, Louisiana,” Jackson said. “But there’s a lot more work to do, and this is a part of it.”…
