Lafayette City Council votes no to downtown daiquiri bar after opposition from police

The Lafayette City Council said no to the daiquiri bar proposed for a vacant space downtown.

Council members voted 3-2 to deny the conditional use permit that would have allowed applicants to open the Downtown Daiquiri Lounge at 522 Jefferson St. during their Tuesday meeting.
