2 south La. men arrested for allegedly trying to steal cars from Shreveport dealership

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Two men from south Louisiana are now in jail after allegedly being caught trying to steal cars from a dealership in Shreveport.

The Shreveport Police Department says the incident happened early Sunday morning (April 26) around 1:45 a.m. at a dealership in the 1200 block of E Bert Kouns. Officers were called out about a possible burglary in progress. When they got there, they set up a perimeter and quickly took the two men into custody without incident.

Police say during the investigation, officers found out the two men were in possession of a device commonly used to program key fobs, which would have allowed them to steal the cars. Police say they also had other tools associated with car theft on them…
