Pogie’s Pour House Surprises Broussard with a New Location
Let’s start with good news. The new Pogie’s Pour House in Broussard is now open. The new location at 226 St. Nazaire Road (formerly Yabbos) appears to have made a bit of a surprise opening this past Saturday, May 9.
Pogie’s is known for its wide variety of daiquiris along with a full service bar, and this location also does boiled crawfish. The original Pogie’s Pour House in Carencro has been open since early 2014 and has had great success over the years.

Broussard’s Boiling Pot Permanently Closes After Three Years
On the other end of the spectrum, Broussard’s Boiling Pot announced recently that they’ve made the tough decision to close their doors. In a Facebook post, the owner wrote, “I personally would like to thank all of our customers, vendors and employees for becoming a part of my family.”
The restaurant was open for three years, located at 158 Heritage Parkway. The menu featured boiled seafood, oysters, poboys, salads, seasonal live crawfish and sides…
