Thunderstorms are expected this evening into tonight across southern Louisiana, bringing locally heavy downpours and a risk of localized flooding as ditches and retention ponds are already full. The prolonged wet pattern continues with additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms anticipated each day through the end of next week.
