Polk County K9 Gives Locked-In Frostproof Suspect A Very Sudden Change Of Heart

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 44-year-old Frostproof man with a lengthy rap sheet is back behind bars after a Friday afternoon domestic dispute led deputies on a brief game of hide-and-seek.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies rushed to a home on West F Street around 5:15 p.m. on May 22nd following a frantic 911 call regarding a battery complaint. By the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, the suspect had already bolted from the residence. Witnesses pointed deputies toward a massive, multi-room storage shed on the property, where they believed the man was holed up.

Deputies found the outbuilding securely locked from the inside. Despite pounding on the doors and shouting numerous commands for the suspect to come out, the structure remained completely silent…
