WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 20-year-old Winter Haven man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he cut off his ankle monitor and stole a $10,000 golf cart for a nighttime joyride.
The series of events began on the evening of June 14, 2026. Around 6:41 p.m., the Department of Juvenile Justice notified Winter Haven officers that an electronic ankle monitor had been cut off and was pinging near 11th Street NE and Country Lane NE. Officers checked the area and found the discarded monitor tossed in the nearby woods.
Police identified the suspect as Jer’Marius Julian and went to his home on Ave. S NE to look for him. His mother told officers she knew his ankle monitor had been tampered with. She explained that her son left the house at 11:00 a.m. and never showed up for his 6:00 p.m. curfew…
