A Florida woman was arrested after deputies say they discovered 28 bags of fentanyl concealed inside her body following a traffic stop in Polk County.
According to KNOE, 48-year-old Gina Redding drove past a roadblock that had been established by utility crews working on power lines. Authorities said Redding bypassed a deputy assigned to redirect traffic before being stopped by another deputy, who issued her a traffic citation.
Investigators said Redding attempted to dispute the citation by following the deputy’s patrol vehicle and later calling 911. Authorities say she was stopped again and arrested for allegedly misusing 911. She was also cited for illegally tinted windows. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies also found marijuana inside her vehicle.
