When Ryleigh Turner got to high school, it’s fair to say that she was one of the most motivated students out there when it came to excelling in academics.
“I went to Berkeley and so we all are very academically I want to say say high achieving,” she said. “We had a top 20 in our school, and I was 22nd. And that just like broke my heart. I did not want to be 22nd. I wanted to be in top 20. (At Auburndale) Mr. (Ty) Bruno was out principal and I told him I wanted to be salutatorian for valedictorian, and I need your help to get me there. And so, since then, I’ve taken every single class that I needed to to make sure that I got to that point. Last year. I like secured the part of salutatorian. I just had to make straight A’s my senior year in every class that I took to get salutatorian.”
Mission accomplished…
