Lakeland Man On Probation Arrested After Failing To Fool Deputies During Curfew Check

LAKELAND, Fla. — A Lakeland man with a lengthy criminal record was arrested Wednesday evening after deputies say he tried to convince them he was inside his home during a curfew check when he was actually blocks away.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip on July 15, 2026, regarding ‘illegal activity’ at a home on Waldrup Road in Lakeland. The residence belongs to 33-year-old Samuel Christopher Rorah.

Rorah, who is currently on felony probation for fentanyl possession, is subject to a court-ordered curfew…
