After nearly a year of rebuilding following a devastating fire, O’Brien’s Irish Pub is preparing to fully welcome customers back as the restaurant begins a soft opening and looks ahead to an official grand reopening celebration.
Owner Mike Goodwin said the most difficult part of the rebuilding process was navigating the uncertainty that followed the fire.
“The biggest challenge was the uncertainty. There wasn’t a clear roadmap, and every step seemed to bring new obstacles—whether it was insurance, construction, permits, or simply waiting. It tested our patience, but it also reminded us why we wanted to rebuild in the first place. O’Brien’s Irish Pub has been a staple in Plant City for 19 years, and we were determined to bring it back even better than before.”…
