PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Plant City woman says she lost more than $50,000 after scammers posing as bank representatives convinced her that her accounts had been compromised.
Dahiana Ponce said she received a phone call the morning of July 9 from someone claiming to be with Chase Bank.
“Around 9:19 I received a phone call, stating that some fraudulent account transactions had been going through my account,” Ponce said. “They gave me the bank account information to link their account to mine on my phone.”…
