TAMPA, Fla. — A Winter Haven woman has turned her lifelong love of horses into a full-time operation caring for neglected and abused horses. Dani Horton is helping those horses live their best life ever.
Horton started the Hope Equine Rescue in 2008. The facility mainly takes in horses that have been seized by the Polk County Sheriff’s office during its investigation of abuse and neglect. The rescue then rehabilitates the horses and finds them new homes.
