Bicycle Ride Leads To Warrant Arrest, New Burglary Charges For Lakeland Man

LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man faces multiple charges after a routine patrol led to his arrest on an active warrant and connected him to a separate theft investigation on Monday.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was patrolling near Longfellow Boulevard in Lakeland at around 11:09 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2026, when he spotted 37-year-old John Vandeusen riding a bicycle.
