Because of a collapsed culvert, Hardee County has temporarily closed Hardee Street in Bowling Green for repairs, affecting the current FDOT detour of County Road 664 (County Line Road) during the replacement of the Peace River Bridge.
The repairs are expected to be completed by Saturday, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The following County Line Road temporary detours were provided:
Eastbound: Head north or south on US 17 to Main Street. Head east on Main Street to Lake Branch Road. Turn right (south) on Lake Branch Road and follow it around southeast to Platt Road. Turn left (north) on Platt Road back to County Line Road.
Westbound: Head east or west on County Line Road to Platt Road. Head south on Platt Road to Lake Branch Road. Turn right (west) on Lake Branch Road and follow it around northeast to Main Street. Turn left (west) on Main Street to US 17. Turn right (north) on US 17 back to County Line Road.
