FORT MEADE, Fla. (WFLA) — After Fort Meade officials unanimously approved plans for a massive “hyperscale” AI data center, the state reminded the city that it has major hurdles to clear before the controversial “Project Stonebridge” can proceed.

In a letter to Mayor Jaret Williams on Wednesday, Florida Department of Commerce Secretary J. Alex Kelly laid out his concerns surrounding the proposed 4.4 million square foot facility along US-98, which would be among the first of its kind in Florida.
