AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The air in Auburndale is about to get a lot thicker—and much more delicious. On April 24–25, the grills will officially be fired up at the Camp Margaritaville RV Resort for “Pitmasters in Paradise,” a Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned festival that marks a major milestone for Florida’s culinary scene.
This isn’t just a casual backyard cookout. As a professional-grade competition, the event serves as the high-octane finale of the Florida Triple Crown of BBQ series.
Pitmasters from all over the region are descending on Polk County to battle for cash prizes and the prestige of being named the ultimate champion.
