Development eyed for 52 acres near Polk City’s Green Swamp

A 52-acre tract near the Green Swamp could open to residential and business development under a Polk City annexation and rezoning proposal as growth continues spreading through northern Polk County.

The proposal would bring approximately 52.42 acres near 5234 Duey Road into Polk City limits while changing the property’s future land use designation to Residential Low-X and City Lake and rezoning the site to a planned development district that permits residential and business-impact uses.
