LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The stage for the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event is going up at the White House, but it first came together in Pennsylvania.
A rendering released by the UFC over the weekend depicted a star-spangled arch over the octagon on the White House South Lawn. The arch dwarfed the residence on Tuesday as construction crews prepared for the June 14 bout, which coincides with President Donald Trump’s birthday.
It was the first look at the event that Trump said was in high demand. But residents in Warwick Township got to see the metal structure rise above the Lancaster County farmland last month.
In April, the township’s board of supervisors approved a request by Tait Global LLC, a stage design company, to temporarily put up the structure on the 150-acre Rock Lititz campus, where some of the biggest names in live entertainment design, build, and rehearse their shows and tours.
