Manufacturing company to close York facility in 2027

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Southwire, a wire and cable developer, will close its York facility on Feb. 19, 2027.

The company announced the decision Tuesday, with leadership saying the move will help the company “align itself to best serve its markets and customers.”

“Our focus continues to be meeting our customers’ needs in the most effective and efficient way possible,” Aaron Asher, Southwire’s senior vice president of customer experience, said in a release. “By making this change, we’re able to better utilize our current facilities and adopt a more streamlined strategy for improving the customer experience.”…
