LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Volunteers helped an individual and his dog to safety after they fell down the side of a cliff, according to a post from the Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company.
Crews were called to the area of Rock House Road on June 13, the fire company said. Rescue crews were quickly able to locate the man and his dog, but the terrain didn’t make for an easy rescue.
“Due to the steep, rugged terrain, firefighters established a rope haul system to safely lower rescue personnel over the cliff and access the patient,” the Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company wrote in a Facebook post.
