Timely rain saved Ross Frey’s crops this summer, but they are not out of danger yet. They still need Mother Nature’s help.
“We’re just filling corn kernels out right now,” he said. “We can still get hurt by it drying up and not getting anything on the later corn. But the early-planted corn is very well done. The beans, though, they still need August rains.”
