Legendary Lancaster tennis coach receives USTA honor at U.S. Open

(WHTM) — Delaine Mast has accumulated numerous honors over her lengthy career in tennis. Now, she’s added hardware from the United States Tennis Association.

Mast was one of 17 women to receive the Champions of Equality honor at the 2026 U.S. Open in New York this week. She represented the Middle States, having been inducted into the region’s Hall of Fame.

Other recipients included NBC’s Hoda Kotb, who was given the Billie Jean King Champion of Equality Award.

Mast herself knows King very well. She previously served as the national director for the World Team Tennis Recreational Leagues, along with stints on numerous national committees within the USTA…
