York Water Company to acquire wastewater treatment system in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A central Pennsylvania water company announced it has reached an agreement with the Paradise Township Sewer Authority in Lancaster County to acquire the wastewater treatment system currently serving its residents, according to a news release.

The York Water Company, which has served southcentral Pennsylvania for 210 years, offers a level of operational and managerial expertise in utility infrastructure that will make sure wastewater services stay reliable for the foreseeable future.

Pending approval from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, the acquisition expects to add more than 700 customers to its expanding wastewater portfolio, according to a news release…
