LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Members of the U.S. Department of Energy visited the Holtwood hydroelectric facility in Lancaster County.
The Department of Energy awarded Brookfield Renewable, the owner of Holtwood, a $5 million grant to improve its power generation.

Assistant Secretary of the U. S. Department of Energy Audrey Robertson and staff members toured the plant Monday, which turns water into power. She came to see how the grant money is being spent.
“Hydropower provides 25% of the renewable power in the United States,” Robertson said. “Yet the hydropower industry overall hasn’t received the funding.”…
