Witnesses heard York man arguing with neighbor right before he shot, stabbed him to death: police

A York man killed his upstairs neighbor last week amid an ongoing feud about the neighbor’s relationship with a woman, city police said.

Witnesses heard arguing between Nidair Collier, 31, and Quinten Hutty-Afternoons, 44, seconds before the May 1 shooting on the 200 block of South Hartley Street, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by York police.

Around 2 a.m., police got a call from a woman who said she was walking near her house on South Hartley Street when she heard gunshots. She tried to get inside her home, but couldn’t and left, the affidavit said…
