LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Charges were filed this week in a deadly Lebanon County four-vehicle crash from 2024 that caused an hours-long shutdown of I-81 South, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Floyd Hurst, 71, of York, was charged Wednesday with homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person and three traffic violations, according to court records. He was arraigned Friday on his charges.
Hurst is accused of being on his phone when he crashed into the back of a vehicle stopped in a traffic jam in East Hanover Township on Oct. 24, 2024, just before 11:30 a.m. The charging Trooper said in the affidavit of probable cause that there is evidence that shows Hurst’s phone was unlocked when he crashed…
