LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – A man accused of assaulting an Ingham County deputy is scheduled to appear in court June 16 for a probable cause conference.
Lewis Easley, 21, is charged with assaulting a corrections officer during an incident at the Ingham County Jail on Feb. 17, according to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said the incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. during a routine cell check when Easley allegedly became combative and attacked a deputy. Additional jail staff intervened and restrained him, officials said.
