MSU Board of Trustees to meet Friday for first time since Guskiewicz announced his departure

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (News 10) – The Michigan State University Board of Trustees is set to vote on the school’s 2027 operating budget and tuition rates at Friday’s board meeting.

The meeting, moved to the the MSU Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center in Benton Harbor, is the first since President Kevin Guskiewicz announced he’s leaving East Lansing to become the next president of Clemson University in South Carolina.

Trustees have not said whether they will discuss Guskiewicz’s decision to leave, which came in the wake of a May 17 special meeting that became contentious as the board voted to approve a new code of conduct and ethics…
