There’s been talk about Michigan State being involved with several elite point guards in the 2027 class, but one that many fans were hoping would end up in the green and white recently cut the Spartans from his final list.
Five-star point guard Davion Thompson, a Link Academy teammate of Carlos Medlock Jr. and Ethan Taylor, already had ties to Michigan State with his teammates entering their freshman seasons in East Lansing, but he trimmed his list to four recently with Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Baylor, and Michigan making the cut. The absolute worst-case scenario would be if the No. 22 recruit in the country picked Michigan — or really any Big Ten program for that matter — and haunted the Spartans for 1-2 years…
