Democratic candidate hears community concerns outside Barrett’s Lansing office

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michiganders gathered outside U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett’s, R-Charlotte, office Sunday, not to speak to the congressman, but to another candidate instead.

Democratic congressional candidate William Lawrence set up outside his opponent’s office Sunday afternoon for an “Ask me Anything” event.

Lawrence is one of the three Democrats running to unseat Barrett.

He says the purpose of the event is to speak with community members about their concerns regarding the congressman’s current term and how he can better represent them.
