Nearly a week after a line of storms became unexpectedly severe across part of Michigan, a survey team from the National Weather Service has confirmed the state’s 21st tornado of the year occurred last Tuesday.
The tornado spun up around 10:30 a.m. on June 9 in Grand Ledge in Eaton County. It was rated an EF-0 with peak winds about 75 mph, one of the weakest kinds of tornadoes. It did some minor damage but did not injure anyone, the NWS said while releasing the details today.
