Consumers Energy says power has been restored to 80% of customers after powerful storms

JACKSON, Mich. — Consumers Energy says crews have made significant progress restoring power Friday after two rounds of powerful storms over the last 24 hours.

The utilities company says power has been restored to about 80% of customers or 41,000 of the 51,000 customers impacted by the weather event.
