Lake Lansing Park South partially reopens after storm damage

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lake Lansing Park South is set to partially reopen as crews continue to clean up storm damage.

Storms that went through the area on Sept. 3 pulled down dozens of trees. Director of Ingham County Parks Tim Morgan previously told 6 News some of the fallen trees were 152 years old.

Severe storms cause damage throughout Mid-Michigan

On Thursday, it will partially reopen, Ingham County Parks said in a social media post. It said there will still be intermittent closures.

Park attendees will need to stay clear of areas that still have heavy debris and all picnic areas, along with spots that are fenced off or have caution tape up…
