LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A funeral service was held Tuesday morning for two Williamston children, a 13-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother, who were hit by an SUV while riding bicycles along Grand River Avenue in Leroy Township in early September.
Karalee Shepard died of complications from the crash on Sept. 10, according to a statement her mother posted on Facebook. The statement said she was surrounded by family. Her brother Calvin was pronounced dead at the scene on Sept. 5.
“Our hearts are broken beyond what we can put into words,” the family wrote.
